Moulin Rouge

I have clollected various images from the film adaptation of Moulin Rouge. From these images I can clearly see that the main colours used/highlighted are red, black and white. The red connotes lust and is a powerful colour: something that is often associated with theatre. The fact that the female wears the Hat also suggests a sense of power which is something I have used in my music video. This is highlighted further by the red lipstick worn by the female character, again this connotes lust but also danger as the women conventionally cause a fatal end for the male character in these particular narratives. The costumes are usually made of sequins which is highly recognisable as femining and also a quality of clothing used commonly in theatre.
